SGM Engineering was founded in 2009 by Steven Giammona, P.E. Steven is a 1990 Graduate of the United States Merchant Marne Academy, where he received a BS in Mechanical Engineering Systems. Upon graduation, he worked in the private consulting field in the New York Metropolitan area for twenty years while receiving his New York State Professional Engineering license in 1995. In 1997, he received his New Jersey State Professional Engineering license.

 

SGM provides MEP design services as well as New York City Department of Building Special Inspection Services. In 2013 SGM Engineering received New York City Department of Buildings Special Inspection Agency status for more than fifty (50) Class 2 and class 3 inspections.  

 

The company concentrates on designing senior health care facilities, high-tech tenant fit-outs, mission critical facilities, and building modernizations. We pride ourselves on staying with a project until it is complete. The project management goal is to not stop working until we ensure that our clients are getting exactly what they need. We got involved early on in the process, performing lease analysis, building evaluations and due diligence to avoid costly pitfalls during construction.
